Foundation

We fund the network. We don't run it.

Ostrel Foundation is a non-profit that pays for protocol development, research and grants for Ostrel. Sample organisation for a fictional network.

Principles

How the foundation works

  • Funds, does not control

The foundation pays for development and grants. Validators run the network and holders decide changes.

  • Publishes everything

Treasury accounts, grants, delegations and running costs are reported every quarter.

  • Works to be less needed

Every year more of the roadmap, the grants and the tooling moves to independent teams.

Teams

Sixty people, four teams

Remote-first across fourteen countries. Open roles are posted on the contact page.

  • Protocol engineering
