Use
Stake OSL, secure the network
Staking puts your tokens behind a validator. You share its rewards and its risks. Here is how the options compare.

Compare
Three ways to stake
| Delegate from a wallet | Liquid staking | Run a validator | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best for | Most holders | Holders who use DeFi | Operators with hardware and time |
| Minimum | 1 OSL | 0.1 OSL | 50,000 OSL self-stake |
| Effort | A few minutes | A few minutes | Ongoing operations |
| Custody | You keep your keys | A program holds the stake | Full control |
| Main risk | Shared slashing risk with your validator | Program risk plus slashing risk | You are slashed for downtime or double-signing |
| Getting out | 14-day unbonding | Trade the staking token any time | 14-day unbonding |

Questions people ask first
Choosing a validator? The network page lists every validator with its commission and uptime.
Are staking rewards guaranteed?
No. Rewards depend on issuance, how much of the supply is staked, your validator's commission and its performance. The estimator shows an illustration, not a promise.
Can I lose tokens by staking?
Yes. If your validator is slashed for misbehaviour, delegators share the penalty. Liquid staking adds the risk of the staking program itself.
How long does it take to withdraw?
Delegated stake unlocks 14 days after you ask to withdraw. Liquid staking tokens can be sold at any time, at the market price.
Do I give my tokens to the validator?
No. Delegation assigns voting weight; the tokens stay in your account and only you can withdraw them.
