Raise the block compute limit by 25%
Lift the per-block compute limit from 48 M to 60 M units after three months of testnet data showed validators have headroom.
Motivation
Blocks have run above 85% of the compute limit at peak hours for eight consecutive weeks, which pushes fees up for everyone.
Testnet has run at 60 M units since June with no increase in missed slots among validators that meet the published hardware guide.
Specification
- Set MAX_BLOCK_COMPUTE to 60,000,000 at the first epoch boundary after the vote closes.
- Keep the per-transaction limit unchanged at 1,400,000 units.
- Review missed-slot rates after 30 days and report on this page.
